Bob welcoming us on arrival with some Jameson and Coors

Bob invited us to celebrate his birthday out in Joshua Tree. He wanted to have the same vibe as his last trip here with the boys and since I am the newest member of the tribe they made my tribe name “Dojo.”
Bob and Tyler left early Friday morning to get a camping site while Bony, Mikey, Ian, and I left around 7pm, since we either had school or work to attend to. We all shotgunned a beer on arrival, around 11pm at the campsite, and Bob was already building his wizard staff for the weekend. After shotgunning that beer we went back to the fire pit and met our neighbors. There was an Indian couple traveling around the U.S. and two college girls from the Valley. The guys then began to layout our tents to resemble a street that leads up to a grand palace, which was Ian’s ten men tent for one.
The weekend consisted of a lot of cooking and eating. Occasionally we would leave our campsite and wander around Jumbo Rock. When we did wander around it was really crazy seeing people climbing every rock in sight. But most of the time we were just chatting around the campfire while our beans or hobo stews were cooking. This was definitely one of the more relaxing camping I have done and was a good break on daily routine. Thanks again boys!
